REVELATORY MANIFESTATIONS WHILE THE PROPHETIC MANTLE FELL ON BRIGHAM YOUNG

After the prophet, Joseph Smith was murdered, the church faced uncertainty as to it's future. The members were left shaken and confused on what the path looked like moving forward. Who was to take the prophetic mantle. During this time of great upheaval a few men stepped forward to profess their right to step into the prophetic line of succession. On August 8, 1844 the saints met to resolve this matter near the temple in Nauvoo. To aide the saints at the time in helping them know who the right man to sustain as the next prophet, the Lord opened the eyes and ears of many as the prophetic mantle fell on Brigham Young. Most congregants either saw, felt, or heard Brigham Young appear as Joseph Smith, confirming the Lord's will that Brigham Young was to be the successor of Joseph Smith, allowing the church to move forward in it's rightful place within the restoration of all things in the latter days. The Lord has proved time and time again through out history that He is guiding and directing all things through revelatory, thinning of the veil experiences to all who have eyes to see and ears to hear.
