#computerscience #neuroscience #podcast #toctw #brain #artificialintelligence #iitmadras Srinivasa Chakravarthy is a professor in the Department of Biotechnology, IIT Madras & his Lab" The Computational Neuroscience Lab" is working on modeling the human brain, Reverse engineering the brain in a computer. The holy grail of their effort is to build a simplified whole brain model called the MESOBRAIN. this model will be a prototype of the brain with only about 1 to 10 million neurons.  The model will be realized by generic, trainable oscillatory neural networks that can be applied to a wide range of neurobiological phenomena including sensory function (vision, speech and touch), motor function, language and decision making.  CNS Labs mission is to build a simplified model of the whole brain and use it to develop applications in medicine and engineering Prof Srinivasa has authored two books - Demystifying the Brain - A Computational Approach and Computational Neuroscience Models of the Basal Ganglia. He is also the inventor of a novel script called Bharati, a unified script for Indian languages   https://biotech.iitm.ac.in/Faculty/CNS_LAB/VSC.html  https://in.linkedin.com/in/srinivasa-chakravarthy-a09b5131 Dont Forget to Subscribe www.youtube.com/ctipodcast
