Rewind: Can Women Have It All, Relationship Power Dynamics, and The New Generation of the Patriarchy

What was even happening last summer? Shall we remind you? First up we’re catching up about balancing life with motherhood and the age-old debate of whether or not women can have it all. During this conversation Hollis makes a big revelation and I reflect on my youngest child’s first year of life as we approach her first birthday and the complex feelings of looking forward to the future while simultaneously aching for the past. Next up I’m sharing a funny story about a Mr. Rogers Neighborhood mishap and we’re voicing our concerns for Lady Elaine Fairchild and whether or not she may have a drinking problem. Then it’s on to the Red-Hot Chili Peppers front man and his 19-year-old girlfriend. We’ve got thoughts on this and we’re wondering if you agree? Let us know in the comments. This leads us into a conversation about a recent TikTok trend. Remember the same arm and leg running challenge? Well, we do. And of course, this is what the new generation of the patriarchy would be up to. We get into a conversation about why this trend tends to be dominated by men and what, if any, biological instincts might be driving that. After that we’re relaying some arguments we’ve been fine tuning in our heads for the past 2 weeks, or in my case 20 years, and sharing our perfect comebacks. As always, we’re wrapping it up with gripes about hotels and parking spaces and grapes to grandfathers and hangover free Saturday mornings.
