Robbery? Burglary, Pursuit, Homicide, Roadside Shootout

Last September, a common call was placed a comm center in Illinois: a man came home to find his house ransacked. The caller was interrupted by the sounds of gunfire. Another call came in: neighbor heard shots. Now the Plano Police and Kendall County Sheriffs Office respond to the scene of the crime, where a Ford Bronco is in flight. Officers give chase while medics find the 9-1-1 caller shot and killed. Now the suspect is in a do or die pursuit with police in heart of Aurora, forcing officers to take action while surrounded by dozens of innocent bystanders. After it's all over, can the police breathe easy? Or is their next ambush coming from the state's attorney's office?
