Nelle scorse settimane sono stati resi noti dai promotori i risultati di una serie di screening effettuati dall’Associazione Studio e Ricerca sulla Visione, con il sostegno di Safilens, nelle scuole dell’infanzia, primaria e media dell’Istituto Comprensivo via Fabiola nella CapitaleIl progetto “Screening a scuola” risale alla primavera 2024, quando tra marzo e maggio furono coinvolti 883 studenti dai 3 ai 13 anni di tre scuole romane (nella tabella sotto) con l’obiettivo di intercettare precocemente eventuali ametropie, deficit visivi e problematiche binoculari, con uno sguardo particolare alla miopia, in costante aumento tra i più giovani: sotto la guida del presidente dell’associazione, Marco Orlandi, il team che li ha eseguiti era composto da un ortottista, un ottico optometrista e un referente organizzativo, con la presenza di un medico oculista nella fase di pre e post screening.«La metodologia applicata nel progetto ha unito la valutazione del visus tramite ottotipo di Snellen, lo screening refrattivo oggettivo con videorefrattometro Kaleidos 2Win, esami binoculari come cover test, stereopsi e convergenza, fino all’analisi posturale per individuare eventuali posizioni anomale del capo, possibili indicatori di squilibri visivi», spiega una nota congiunta di Safilens e Associazione Studio e Ricerca sulla Visione.
