ROMANS 2:1-16
from Understanding Christianity · host Sean Cole
In Romans 2:1-16, Paul addresses self-righteous Jews after confronting pagan Gentiles in Chapter 1. Here is a summary of this passage: The self-righteous person who judges others and yet commits those same sins will be condemned. God’s judgment is never unjust but right God is good and gives time for people to repent and escape that judgment God will judge every single person—the Christian will not be judged for eternal life, but his or her works will prove authentic faith. The non-Christian will be judged for suppressing the truth, seeking self-pleasure, and disobedience. People will be individually judged by what they know is right and wrong, and failure to do it, whether the written Ten Commandments or a law within their hearts.
