Roscommon Comhairle na nÓg - The Today Show 08/06/26

Listen Link was developed by members of Roscommon Comhairle na nÓg after young people identified mental health as a key issue during the 2023 Annual Youth Conference. Since then, members have worked together to shape the initiative and advocate for improved mental health supports for young people across County Roscommon. They recently presented their Listen Link initiative at Leinster House following an invitation from Senator Gareth Scahill who has been championing their initiative, which involves counsellors visiting schools to counsel and support students when they are suffering with their mental health. Kate Duffy is one of the members of Roscommon Comhairle na nÓg who has worked on this initiative and she joins Adrianne here to discuss what it involves and when we might see it rolled out in schools around the county.
