ROVERS MALAJRovers Malaj approaches space through storytelling, assembling a world where past and speculative futures collapse into a single plane. His paintings are populated by fragmented figures and intriguing devices that flicker between nostalgia and science fiction, rendered in weightless washes of color. His worlds feel familiar yet distant, like memories from a past that never quite existed. He pulls from historical images, digital distortions, and personal mental archives, constructing playful, dreamlike compositions that feel both known and alien. The gaps and absences within his works—their suspended, open-ended narratives—leave space for the viewer to step in, drawn toward the empty spaces, where they can imagine themselves to exist for the time of this story.​​Rovers Malaj, was born in 1995 in Albania before moving and growing up in Belluno, Italy. He initially studied at the Liceo Artistico Catullo in Belluno before obtaining both his BA and MA in Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, attending the F atelier. He has been a member of the artist run space (s) zolforosso fromNovember 2022 to June 2024. Currently lives and works in Venice, Italy.​
