Martha and Jenni met as teachers at the same progressive school where their kids werestudents and became each other's children's key teachers. Jenni ran mini shopping trolleyraces down corridors with Martha's son for vestibular regulation. Martha provided Jenni'sdaughters with peanut balls to bounce on so they could focus enough to write andcalculate Maths whilst reciting favourite Bluey episodes.Despite 40 years combined teaching experience and knowing exactly whatneurodivergent children needed, they both realised their own AuDHD/PDA kids weren'tschool-shaped. Not even alternative-school-shaped. So over 3 years ago, they left theirteaching jobs and the education system and started their real education.When they couldn't find home ed clubs that could accommodate their demand-avoidantchildren, they created Make & Create Club: a flexible, low-demand space where rulemakers, rule breakers thrive. They offer community, advocacy and the freedom to beyourself.Now through AuDHDacious Humans, they provide online support for discombobulatedfamilies to understand sensory systems, reframe behaviour, and ditch systems that breakthem. They've lived this experience too, as late-diagnosed AuDHDers, parenting pressure-sensitive children, unravelling everything they thought they knew about parenting and education.Some people call it a journey.
