S01E09 - Doctor Who 2x04 "The Girl in the Fireplace"

This week is Kampy’s pick for our double feature Doctor Who Show Off, and of course, it could only be a Ten episode: “The Girl in the Fireplace.”    It’s another Moffat one-off, and we chat all about this timey wimey adventure with Ten, Rose, Mickey, and Madame du Pompadour herself, Renette. We dig into some frankly wild similarities between this episode and Amanda’s pick from last week, lots of Ten-isms including “wellllll” and spouting space jargon at hyperspeed, Scooby Dooing around a revolving fireplace, subtle character development for Ten, Chekhov’s horse (who’s name is Arthur), super fun practical sets, ridiculously large space guns, of course a few great dialogue drops, the satisfaction of not knowing the answer, and what’s Jack Sparrow got to do with anything.
