Sir Chris Hoy is one of the world’s greatest ever Olympians with a record haul of 6 gold medals, but how many people know about his car racing career? Since retiring from cycling after the London Olympics in 2012, Chris has had the opportunity to live out his boyhood motor racing dream, that’s seen him drive for the likes of Radical, Ginetta and Nissan, with the latter training him to compete in the legendary Le Mans 24 hour race. In addition, Chris tells Jason and Dave about his car history and the BMW 318i that was his passport to freedom, the BMW M3 which was very nearly his passport to a muddy ditch off a wet road, and his mutual love and respect for the very different qualities of the beautiful Jaguar XKR and the awesome Nissan GTR.
