‘UNRWA (the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine refugees in the Near East) is the largest UN Agency, with 30,000 employees nearly all of whom are Palestine Refugees. It serves 5.1 million Palestine refugees in five fields – Gaza, WB, Syria, Jordan and Lebanon, a seven fold increase from the 750,000 refugees who fled in 1948/9.
