S16E03 - Social Security

Social Security The times they are a changing, and in this rapidly moving world things have to adjust and evolve quickly, which often means substantial consequences in many areas of our lives. Today we’re treated to Episode Three of Drewling Samantics Season Sixteen, where Drew and Sam discuss the recent developments surrounding social media. Social media is an enormous part of life that continues to grow seemingly exponentially, and some might argue in many ways we are losing control. As a result, the recently announced ban for under sixteen year olds is set to kick in, and in this show the boys reflect on the impending limiting of what these children and young adults can access, and the possible ramifications that could have for the performing arts, games and content creators. Not only that, but they also carefully address allegations made about the safety of participants on reality TV shows, and how far production companies are (or are not) going to protect them. Serious stuff in this latest Drewling Samantics outing, but our dynamic duo never shy away from the trickier issues, and these are definitely intriguing and important topics that no doubt listeners and watchers alike will want to tune in to.
