Born of a fusion of Chicago and Delta (and sometimes Texas) blues and rock and roll, blues rock has been a dominating force in rock music since the 1960s. Blues rock has undergone a number of transformations in the ensuing decades but is still a rich musical vein tapped by today's musicians.
