S1EP32 Making Everyone Happy

This week I'd like to share a bit about my own experiences in trying to make everyone happy. I'll be the first to admit that I would push my own happiness aside to make those around me happy, and the lesson I eventually learned was "if you try to make other people happy - if that's all you are focused on - you'll just wind up making yourself miserable".Giving and giving and giving more of yourself to others can give you a sense of happiness, but it's temporary. If you can do something for you - and you alone - that makes you truly happy, then that happiness will spreads from you to those around you.You can't really make everyone happy all the time, but you can shift your focus away from trying to please others and towards doing the things that make you happy. You'll be better able to give back to if you take care of yourself first.Support the show
