When that happens, I have to just unplug from everything. Take a walk, focus on my breath, and just be for a time.It can be challenging to slow down if you've been go-go-go for a long time, but like with everything else, with practice it gets easier.If your mind is overwhelmed or stressed for too long, it starts to suffer.
