S2:E21 Melanated Cold Case: Kendrick Johnson

TRIGGER WARNING: We will be periodically dedicating an episode to a melanated cold case throughout the season as we hope to shed more light on these stories. In 2013 Kendrick Johnson, a 17-year-old honor roll student and athlete, was found dead in a rolled-up gym mat at his GA high school. His case was closed in 4 months and ruled an accident. Recently the case has been re-opened and we felt Kendrick and his story deserved some additional spotlight. In this episode, we discuss everything from the details of what happened the day he died, to the confusion and mishandling of his case. There is a lot to question when it comes to this case from the cause of death to the person(s) of interest. The inconsistencies and discrepancies are clear indications of a cover up.
