He was involved in numerous major signings including Roy Halladay, Vernon Wells, Jimmy Key and Orlando Hudson. No surprise as to his baseball pedigree with dad Karl a scout for the Pirates and mom Claire considered the "Godmother of Pinellas County baseball."
