In this episode of GOOD DEEDS, host Nanette Wiser catches up on the news and upcoming events at the Gulfport Senior Center Foundation with President Eileen Corning and Treasurer William Griffo, both seasoned professionals with extraordinary careers and expertise that are helping the Board of Directors achieve their vision.👉The Gulfport Multipurpose Senior Center Foundation, Inc. is a registered 501(c)3 charitable non-profit organization that raises monies to support Senior Center programs and services, making the Center better for our seniors. Just recently, Gulfport earmarked funds for the expansion this year that will add two new multipurpose rooms and other improvements to better serve the Gulfport senior community, in addition to the existing classes, events, wellness initiatives, food pantry, fitness center and more.EVENTS They host a variety of events throughout the year both at the center as well as Catherine Hickman Theater. There are art shows, live performances, and special presentations from guest speakers as well as educational workshops, wellness fairs, and social gatherings. Each event is planned with care to make sure everyone feels welcome. They also host seasonal celebrations, themed parties, and creative arts activities like “Sip, Chat & Paint.” These gatherings give people a chance to relax, have fun, and connect with others. All proceeds from Gulfport Senior Foundation events go to support the Gulfport Senior Center Foundation and its programs. The Foundation uses these funds to support programs like meal services, fitness classes, and social outreach. EVENTS...and more to come!
