English/Humanities professor and Board President Ken Burchenal to talk about the history of the house, the organization's efforts to save and refresh Kerouac's last residence (with his mother and 3rd wife) and learn about the monthly poetry, storytelling open mics and concerts (Craftsman Gallery owner Jeff Schorr is involved with some upcoming musical performances and a board member). "Your first thought is your best thought" Kerouac mantra and his fall from King of the Beats to St. Pete anonymity to the current resurgence of popularity is inspiring.
