Back in Brickyard - September '23 In this episode, Scott is joined by Jarrett, a returner from Season 1 Luke Billman, and first-time guest Allison Billman to talk about the “Back in Brickyard” block party outreach concert. The event featured nearly a dozen artists from both inside and outside of the Ripe community and took place on Friday, September 1st, 2023 at Shores of Grace. Luke & Allison lead Shores of Grace which serves the local community of Germantown in Philadelphia.  We begin the conversation by talking mainly about everything that led up to running the block party back for our second year in a row. The entire episode flows together nicely as each person shares their perspective about the event and the big picture “ministry philosophy” for reaching people locally through the arts.  There are quite a few laughs throughout the episode as we talk about Luke being sick and still trying to help and different artist sets that impacted people.  The most significant takeaway focused on how the artists built meaningful connections with the audience off the stage.
