We detour briefly into Maimonides’ Laws of Vessels of the Sanctuary and Those who Serve Therein and explain the eight items of clothing the Kohen Gadol wears. We see the Kohen Gadol offer the Tamid and learn a bit about where the incense fits into the daily service. We conclude with a note about how the situation was handled if the Kohen Gadol had difficulty immersing in very cold water.
