S3E2 - Pass the Mic Part 1 - January '24

from Time is Ripe

Pass the Mic Part 1 - Jan '24 In this episode, Scott is joined by Greg Snow, Gabriel Angrand, and Sergine Citerme to talk about our first-ever “Pass The Mic” Ripe Poetry Tour. The tour ran from January 17th-20th, 2024, and included four Pennsylvania stops in Harrisburg, Indiana, New Castle, and Philadelphia consecutively. This first of three episodes about the tour focuses on the Harrisburg event on January 17th, 2024.  The episode begins with us giving a full backstory of what led to the team deciding to embark on the tour. We also spent some time sharing about Jayla “Miss Spoken Poet” being unable to be a part of the first few shows due to family circumstances.  The conversation continues by focusing on the Harrisburg event specifically. We highlight the amazing relationship with the venue Center Street Grille. We also talk through how the open mic, local spotlight Keith Snow, and our team’s featured set went.  As we wrap up the episode we focus on Greg Snow’s pieces as the hometown hero and ways the event impacted specific folks in the room. There are tons of shoutouts and laughs throughout.
