S4E1: Goon

We're back, sports fans! And speaking of sports fans, here's one for... the sports fans! This week on The CineMEH Podcast, Josh and Ryan are lacing up their skates and putting in their mouth guards for a rock'em, sock'em modern hockey cult classic, Goon! If you've ever earnestly asked yourself what the movie Slapshot would be like if it borrowed heavily from Rocky and had the humor of a 7th grade boy, then we've got a movie for you! Heavy on the violence and light on the actual hockey, Goon is the kind of crowd pleaser that overstays its welcome, but it brought beer so you're kind of okay with it. Josh and Ryan discuss the overblown crude humor, the surprisingly nuanced performance by Seann William Scott, and whether this movie takes itself too seriously, or not seriously enough. Welcome back, sports fans! Enjoy Season Four, Episode 1: Goon! Goon stars Seann William Scott, Liev Schreiber, Allison Pill, Kim Coates and Jay Baruchel The CineMEH Podcast is a Slyjack Media, LLC production Like what you hear?
