Emily Getz lost her second child unexpectedly at six months pregnant, due to an external infection. Emily has since struggled with her fertility. She has undergone medical interventions such as IUI and multiple failed rounds of IVF, an ectopic pregnancy, (which resulted in the removal of her right fallopian tube) and most recently in February had a miscarriage at 8-weeks pregnant, which resulted in her first D&C after getting pregnant through natural conception.  In this episode we talk about the emotional toll of fertility struggles, what fertility looks like for different people, and how to support those around you experiencing fertility struggles.   Topics Discussed: Let’s talk about the language surrounding fertility and infertility.
