Eight updates Trix briefly on the situation before Raspy calls for the guard escorting Trix to apprehend “the construct”. When the guard makes his attempt, Eight blasts energy from their palm toward the ceiling which causes chunks of debris to fall onto the guard. Though the guard is able to avoid most of the debris, Eight tries to shove him into the portal. When that fails, Raspy takes matters into his own hands and disposes of the guard. Raspy then makes Eight an offer. They can walk away with the traitor, and points to Trix, or they can have their friend, and raises the dagger. When Eight chooses Trix, Raspy aims the dagger in an attempt to throw it toward the portal. Trix realizes what is going on and takes quick aim with their bow, hitting Raspy in the shoulder and stopping him. The pair team up to destroy Raspy and then are able to enjoy a few moments of respite before putting a new plan into action.
