Sabaton Press Conference at Hellfest 2022

On this episode of The Adventures of Pipeman, Pipeman brings you the press conference of Sabaton live from Hellfest in France. To begin, the band answer a question about creating an album for/about mental health. The band explain how some of their songs reference mental health but how they wouldn’t like to dedicate an entire album to the topic as it is such a heavy topic and would be a super dark album to create. The band speak about how they love putting on amazing live performances and getting on stage and having fun with their audience so they wouldn’t want to put their fans or themselves through creating and performing such a heavy setlist. The band speak about their favourite memories from the recording studio. They mutually agree that they enjoy playing the PlayStation and drinking red wine post recording and how they really enjoyed getting to leave the house to be with each other and doing what they love during the pandemic. They also share some funny recording studio stories such as recording in underwear as it was too hot in the studio and fart spray pranks in the recording room!Sabaton discuss how much they enjoyed working with World Of Tanks as it is such a good fit for the bands interest in history. They give us an insight into what they do during time off when touring and how they like to go to military bases and museums. The band state that working with World of Tanks was a great way for them to find new fans and how they would definitely be open to working with them again on something new in the future. Pipeman asks Sabaton about their most memorable moments at festivals and re-calls the time he was interviewing them at Ozzfest in West Palm Beach when the crew were dismantling a stage and it nearly fell on them during the interview! The band share how one memory that stands out is when they were previously at Hellfest and had to overcome and adapt to an unforeseen issue but how they were super proud that they could pull the performance off.
