SACRED GATHERING NAMES OF JESUS CHRIST

Every Sunday, members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints gather to partake of the sacred emblems of the Sacrament. In that holy ordinance we covenant that we are willing to take upon ourselves of the name of the Savior. What does this mean? How do we keep this weekly covenant if we do not yet fully understand what it means. The Savior is referred to by many names. In this episode we will study some of the "Gathering" names of the Jesus Christ. As we start to understand the meaning of each name, we can greater understand the powers associated with this sacred covenant. As President Dallin H. Oaks teaches, the sacrament leads us to the temple as we serve in our roles as Gatherers emulating the patterns of Jesus Christ. The blessings and powers that follow those who willingly act as the Savior would in gathering scattered Israel, can scarcely comprehend the blessings that can be claimed through that sanctifying service.
