Del Ray Grace Sr., along with his wife Kelli L. Grace, has pioneered an extraordinary journey to preserve and promote Sacred Steel music—a unique and soulful genre within the Christian roots tradition. As the founders of Sacred Strings Records Inc., established in 2009 and incorporated in 2012, the Graces have dedicated themselves to safeguarding the rich legacy of African American steel guitar players. Based in Toledo, Ohio, often referred to as the "Mecca of Sacred Steel Music & History," Sacred Strings Records has grown into a hub for preserving this rare musical tradition.Del Ray Grace is not only a musician but also a historian, researcher, and author, all roles that have enabled him to chronicle the untold story of Sacred Steel music. Through the Sacred Steel Hall of Fame, with 98 inductees, an annual Sacred Strings Showcase Concert, and the establishment of the Sacred Steel Music & History Museum, the Graces have ensured that future generations will continue to experience the spiritual and cultural depth of this genre.
