Saint Lucia Marks International Day of Journalists’ Solidarity

Saint Lucia joined the global observance of the International Day of Journalists’ Solidarity on September 8, recognizing the important role of journalists in promoting transparency, accountability and access to reliable information. The annual observance highlights the dedication of media professionals in providing fair and timely information, countering misinformation and connecting the public with institutions, particularly during national emergencies and significant social developments. The Government Information Service continues to support strong and ethical media systems across Saint Lucia.
