Saint Lucia Submits Financial Estimate for U.S. Third-Country Nationals Arrangement

The Government of Saint Lucia has submitted its financial requirements to the United States in relation to an arrangement for receiving third-country nationals from the U.S. Minister for External Affairs Hon. Alva Baptiste says negotiations on the financial implications are ongoing and the government is not yet prepared to disclose the amount proposed. He emphasized that any arrangement must take into account Saint Lucia’s status as a small, open and vulnerable economy and must not place additional pressure on national development programs or existing government priorities.
