Same Sex Marriage Cases

from Queer PoliFaith · host Mychel Vandover

Today we will be discussing three cases which had an imoact on same-sex marriages: Hollingsworth v. Perry, United States v. Windsor, and Obergefell v. Hodges. The first two were decided in 2013 and the last in 2015. Please note that I do not talk about marriage equality. That is because there are people who cannot get married to those whom they might want to marry or cannot get married without being penalized in some way. True marriage equality is a distance off still. Next episode we will talk about Oncale v. Sundowner Offshore Services, Inc., a sexual harassment case. We will also discuss some issues related to sexual harassment. As always, please rate and review the show. We are on Instagram and Twitter (@queerpolifaith) or you can email [email protected] if you have any questions. I would love to hear from you. Podcast theme music by Transistor.fm.
