IN THE BUILDING | Spurs vs. Trail Blazers Game 4 POST-GAME REACTION | 2026 NBA Playoffs Mike Taylor and Rudy Jay are back LIVE with your full post-game breakdown from Game 4 of the San Antonio Spurs vs. Portland Trail Blazers first-round series in Portland. The Spurs came in leading 2-1 and with the biggest storyline in the entire NBA hanging over this game — and tonight delivered in a major way. THE KING IS BACK Victor Wembanyama made his return from concussion protocol in Game 4, and the Spurs answered Portland's early surge to defeat the Trail Blazers 114-93, overcoming a 19-point deficit to take a commanding 3-1 series lead. Wembanyama cleared the NBA's full concussion protocol and was in the starting lineup Sunday afternoon after missing Game 3 entirely. His presence alone changed the entire complexion of this series — and the Blazers felt it. WHERE THIS SERIES STANDS Portland had all the momentum they needed heading into today. In Game 3, Stephon Castle delivered a postseason career-high 33 points while rookie Dylan Harper exploded for a career-best 27 points and 10 rebounds, powering the Spurs to a 120-108 road win without their star center. San Antonio outscored the Blazers 61-43 in the second half of Game 3, turning a 15-point deficit into a statement victory. Portland came into Game 4 desperate — and they came out swinging, building a 19-point lead before the Spurs showed exactly why they are the two seed. The Blazers had no answer for Wembanyama back in the lineup, and San Antonio now stands one win away from advancing to the second round. THE BIGGER PICTURE The Spurs have historically owned this matchup, holding a 3-1 all-time series record against Portland in the playoffs, with series wins in 1999, 1993, and 2014. Tonight only added to that legacy. San Antonio has now won three straight in this series after dropping Game 2 and they have done it the Spurs way — with depth, toughness, and a young core that refuses to panic. Game 5 is Tuesday night back in San Antonio. The Frost Bank Center is going to be rocking. SUBSCRIBE AND HIT THE BELL — We are going LIVE after EVERY San Antonio Spurs playoff game this postseason. Don't miss a single take, breakdown, or debate. Mike Taylor and Rudy Jay will be here every step of the way on the road to a championship.
