文人伤春，是个永恒的主题，春风春雨，落花垂柳，引起过多少诗人感叹。三月晦日，更是让人想把春天留住。唐朝诗人贾岛也有一首著名的《三月晦日赠刘评事》，诗是这样写的：“三月正当三十日，风光别我苦吟身。共君今夜不须睡，未到晓钟犹是春。”说的也是浓重的惜春情绪。只不过，秦观这首绝句，没有那么悲观，而是顺其自然，豁达通变。
