SANCY FANNIES Short Film: A Mother and Daughter Spend a Day Naked at the Beach, only to UNCOVER Each Other's Intimate Secrets

Set along Norway's west coast, SANDY FANNIES follows sixteen-year-old Aurora, played by Jenny Evensen and her mother played by Silje Breivick during a day spent naked on a secluded beach, far removed from the routines and distractions of everyday life. 3As their conversation grows increasingly candid, discussions of sex, love, and past mistakes begin to unsettle the familiar roles of parent and child. What unfolds is a tender, poignant, and quietly provocative portrait of familial intimacy, exposing the delicate balance between honesty, connection, and emotional boundaries. Through Sandy Fannies, director Ingrid Runde Saxegaard hopes to encourage audiences to reflect on the conversations they choose to have, or avoid with the people closest to them. SANDY FANNIES is a beautiful, emotionally powerful and unsettling film, depending how you view it as an audience member. The acting performances from Jenny Evensen and Silyj Breivick are stellar, emotionally authentic and they make you believe they are truly mother and daughter. Will this film change family relationships, not so sure as many today don’t like having uncomfortable conversations, especially when no one asked for them. #norway #shortfilm #motherdaughter #intimacy #beach #norwegianfilm #film #filmmaker #filmmaking #cinema #cinematography #family #relationships #conversations #viralvideo
