SAPS fires Richard Shibiri

Former SAPS organised crime boss Richard Shibiri has been dismissed following a disciplinary hearing held last month. SAPS confirmed his departure, stating he was found guilty of misconduct that brought the organisation into disrepute, including associating with a known criminal. The matter gained attention during testimony before the Madlanga Commission, where Shibiri admitted receiving a R70 000 loan from alleged cartel figure Vusimuzi 'Cat' Matlala to repair his son's vehicle. SAPS spokesperson Brigadier Athlenda Mathe explains
