At that time, Sarah was working as a senior district manager for New South Wales Health in the Mid North Coast. Her position responsibilities included District Management for Accreditation, Risk Management Consumer Advocacy and Legislative Compliance. Overnight, Sarah lost her job and most of her friends as her diagnosis became known. For the past few years, Sarah has been working as an advocate for Dementia Australia. She also sits on the National Dementia Advisory Council.
