Sarahs Journey To Body Acceptance

from Movement & Mimosas · host Sarah Lawrence

As an onlooker, it’s easy to see a triple-tanned, sculpted physique and think that person’s got to be a narcissist. What we’ve learnt though since being involved in the fitness industry is this - not all sculpted bodies are created equal. This episode is a behind the scenes glimpse of what life was like for Sarah as a female competing in a world-recognised body building competition - the good, the bad, the ugly and the things you may not have given a second thought.   Things We Mention -  How not all competitors are on the pursuit to only change their physical appearance.  When “healthy eating” takes a turn for the worst.  The very real dangers of internal & external stress on the body.  Body Building as a respected sport as opposed to a vanity contest.   PLUS, Sarah opens up about her own personal experience with some of the most common issues associated with female body building such as disordered eating & body dysmorphic disease (BDD).  Links & Helpful Resources -  Follow us on Instagram - @movementandmimosas Shop new Women's Wellness Brand - Reformher Follow Reformher on Instagram - @reformher_au Shop ‘The Universe Has Your Back’ Card Deck from Gabby Bernstein  Join the Movement & Mimosas Group Chat on Facebook  Make sure you hit SUBSCRIBE so you don’t miss out on any of our episodes and if you enjoyed this episode, please leave us a rating and a review?
