Satiated Episode 117: Stepping Into More: More Food, More Muscle, More Presence

from Satiated Podcast · host Stephanie Mara Fox

Happy Satiated Saturday! At my undergraduate school, I was required to take 2 physical movement/gym classes as one of the requirements to graduate. I despised gym class growing up. I was always last on any run, could never climb a rope, and hand eye coordination to hit a volleyball was never my strong suit. I heard through some friends that the weight lifting class was the easiest class to take. There was no actual class. You just had to show up at the gym regularly lift weights and fill out a form on what you did. This class began my love of weight lifting. It made me feel strong, capable, and empowered. Something I have discovered over the years of lifting is that you can truly deeply know how deserving you are of respect, love, appreciation, acceptance just as you are and still want to challenge yourself. In this week’s episode, I talk with Kylie Larson, the founder of Lift To Get Lean, about how transformative lifting weights can be, why diets don't work, the importance of reverse dieting if you have been dieting for a long time, and so much more. You can also read the transcript to this week’s episode here: https://www.stephaniemara.com/blog/stepping-into-more-more-food-more-muscle-more-presenceIf you have any questions about this episode, email me at [email protected] anytime! With Compassion and Empathy, Stephanie Mara FoxKeep in touch with Kylie here:Instagram:  https://www.instagram.com/thekylielarson/Website: www.lifttogetleanwithkylie.comContact:  https://www.lifttogetleanwithkylie.com/contactResources mentioned in this episode:The Body Is Not An Apology by Sonya Renee TaylorThe High Five Habit by Mel RobbinsWomanCode by Alisa Vitti Keep in touch with Stephanie Mara here:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/_stephaniemara/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/stephaniemarafoxWebsite: https://www.stephaniemara.com/Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/stephmara/TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@stephaniemarafoxContact: [email protected] thanks to Bendsound for the intro music in this episode. www.bensound.comSupport the showKeep in touch with Stephanie Mara:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/_stephaniemara/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/stephaniemarafoxWebsite: https://www.stephaniemara.com/https://www.somaticeating.com/Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/stephmara/TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@stephaniemarafoxContact: [email protected] the show:Become a supporter: https://www.buzzsprout.com/809987/supportAll affiliate links: https://www.stephaniemara.com/resourcesReceive 15% off my fave protein powder with code STEPHANIEMARA at checkout here: https://www.equipfoods.com/STEPHANIEMARAUse my Amazon Affiliate link when shopping on Amazon: https://amzn.to/448IyPlSpecial thanks to Bendsound for the music in this episode. www.bensou...
