Satiated Episode 120: When You Need To Use Food As A Tool To Heal

from Satiated Podcast · host Stephanie Mara Fox

Happy Satiated Saturday! When I was in the process of healing my gut from severe digestive pain, I had to do a lot of food experiments. This included taking out some foods I suspected were correlated with the digestive pain I was experiencing and noticing and observing if I felt any different. These food experiments were crucial to deeply understand my body and what my symptoms were trying to tell me. And as my gut healed, I later needed to invite all of these foods back in to see these foods as not good or bad, rather foods that my body simply responds to differently in different moments. Using food as a tool to heal your body can be a multi-faceted process, especially when you're also trying to heal your relationship with food as well. In this week’s episode, I talk with Sarah Sherwood, Embodiment Coach and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, about her Lyme Disease healing journey, her relationship with food throughout that process, the body respect boundaries with food she needed to set, and the conversations she needed to have with others to make her healing path as smooth as possible. You can also read the transcript to this week’s episode here: https://www.stephaniemara.com/blog/when-you-need-to-use-food-as-a-tool-to-healWith Compassion and Empathy, Stephanie Mara FoxKeep in touch with Sarah here:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sarah_sherwood/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Sarah.Sherwood.Somatic.CoachingWebsite: https://sarah-sherwood.com/Keep in touch with Stephanie Mara here:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/_stephaniemara/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/stephaniemarafoxWebsite: https://www.stephaniemara.com/Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/stephmara/TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@stephaniemarafoxContact: [email protected] thanks to Bendsound for the intro music in this episode. www.bensound.comSupport the showKeep in touch with Stephanie Mara:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/_stephaniemara/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/stephaniemarafoxWebsite: https://www.stephaniemara.com/https://www.somaticeating.com/Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/stephmara/TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@stephaniemarafoxContact: [email protected] the show:Become a supporter: https://www.buzzsprout.com/809987/supportAll affiliate links: https://www.stephaniemara.com/resourcesReceive 15% off my fave protein powder with code STEPHANIEMARA at checkout here: https://www.equipfoods.com/STEPHANIEMARAUse my Amazon Affiliate link when shopping on Amazon: https://amzn.to/448IyPlSpecial thanks to Bendsound for the music in this episode. www.bensou...
