Satiated Episode 162: Healing Food Sensitivities and Fear of Food With Brain Re-training

from Satiated Podcast · host Stephanie Mara Fox

Happy Satiated Saturday! It's truly amazing how many body based healing modalities are out there now. I've been involved in the somatic world way before somatics was "in" and cool. Most of my family probably thought I was going into some fake psychotherapy degree, but as soon as I read the description of the classes, I knew that was the path for me. I came in to my somatic psychotherapy program loudly declaring I was going to be the one who combines somatics and nutrition. And now, I see others doing this more and more. It's wonderful that so many practitioners are learning about and infusing somatic work into their practices and it can also feel overwhelming with all the suggestions out there. This is why I'm excited for you to listen to today's podcast episode with a practitioner who has been diving into and teaching brain retraining and nervous system regulation also before it exploded in popularity the past few years. In this week’s episode, I chat with Lindsay Mitchell, PA-C, Brain Retraining Coach and the founder & CEO of Vital-Side, about what brain retraining is, how food sensitivities can have nothing to do with the food itself, and brain retraining exercises. We break things down in this episode into bite sized pieces of practical actions you can explore to step into a different relationship with food. You can also read the transcript to this week’s episode  here: https://www.stephaniemara.com/blog/healing-food-sensitivities-and-fear-of-food-with-brain-retrainingMany of the things we discussed today are also explored in the Somatic Eating® Program. I will be sharing a special offer to those on the waitlist this upcoming Tuesday. So be sure you've joined and I'll be in touch more soon! https://www.somaticeating.com/With Compassion and Empathy, Stephanie Mara FoxKeep in touch with Lindsay here:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/myvitalside/Website: https://vital-side.com/Reset: https://vital-side.com/pages/reset-7-day-course “SATIATED50” for a discount code of 50% offContact: https://vital-side.com/pages/contact-us#Support the showKeep in touch with Stephanie Mara:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/_stephaniemara/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/stephaniemarafoxWebsite: https://www.stephaniemara.com/https://www.somaticeating.com/Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/stephmara/TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@stephaniemarafoxContact: [email protected] the show:Become a supporter: https://www.buzzsprout.com/809987/supportAll affiliate links: https://www.stephaniemara.com/resourcesReceive 15% off my fave protein powder with code STEPHANIEMARA at checkout here: https://www.equipfoods.com/STEPHANIEMARAUse my Amazon Affiliate link when shopping on Amazon: https://amzn.to/448IyPlSpecial thanks to Bendsound for the music in this episode. www.bensou...
