Satiated Saturdays Episode 51: Owning Overeating

from Satiated Podcast · host Stephanie Mara Fox

Happy Satiated Saturday!Growing up, my mom would make this amazing Taco Platter that became pretty famous in my family. It was made on many special occasions and had layers and layers of yummy goodness. As a kid, I asked for this Taco Platter numerous times on birthday celebrations. Because this food became something that was only made every now and then, I always overate when it was offered. Unknowingly, at the time, I had a lot of fear that I didn't know when I was going to get to eat that Taco Platter again so I needed to eat as much as I could in the moment. Over the years, this underlying belief stuck with me that there were some foods or meals that were so special that if I didn't eat as much as I could there was a fear I was never going to get to eat that food ever again. Sound familiar? It wasn't until I started Owning Overeating that this pattern started to shift and change. In this week’s episode, I'll explain what Owning Overeating is and how it can transform your relationship with food. You can also read the transcript to this week’s episode here. You're not alone on this journey and you're not alone in navigating your relationship with food. No matter where you're at in exploring what role food is playing in your life you can trust you're exactly where you're meant to be learning what you're meant to be learning. With Compassion and Empathy, Stephanie Mara FoxSpecial thanks to Bendsound for the intro music in this episode. www.bensound.comSupport the showKeep in touch with Stephanie Mara:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/_stephaniemara/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/stephaniemarafoxWebsite: https://www.stephaniemara.com/https://www.somaticeating.com/Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/stephmara/TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@stephaniemarafoxContact: [email protected] the show:Become a supporter: https://www.buzzsprout.com/809987/supportAll affiliate links: https://www.stephaniemara.com/resourcesReceive 15% off my fave protein powder with code STEPHANIEMARA at checkout here: https://www.equipfoods.com/STEPHANIEMARAUse my Amazon Affiliate link when shopping on Amazon: https://amzn.to/448IyPlSpecial thanks to Bendsound for the music in this episode. www.bensou...
