Satiated Saturdays Episode 76: Why Emotional Eating Is Not The Problem

from Satiated Podcast · host Stephanie Mara Fox

Happy Satiated Saturday!I want to offer a different perspective on "emotional eating."Choosing food to emotionally self soothe is showing up for a reason. If we don't pay attention to what our body is trying to tell us, then our body is going to take over at some point to try and speak to us in louder ways. Think of how powerful your emotional eating or binge eating experiences are! What a potent way for your body to get your attention. Let's reframe that choosing food for emotional hunger reasons is not "wrong" or "bad." It is your body's way of communicating to you that it needs your attention. Our body can't speak with words and so this is the way it talks to you through cravings and urges and impulses. In this week’s episode, we will discuss a new way to navigate your eating experiences when you choose food to satiate an emotional hunger. You can also read the transcript to this week’s episode here. Emotional Eating is not the problem. It is a surface level symptom asking you to come a little closer, dive a little deeper, and explore what is underneath. I'm here for you on this adventure into the unknown. With Compassion and Empathy, Stephanie Mara FoxSpecial thanks to Bendsound for the intro music in this episode. www.bensound.comSupport the showKeep in touch with Stephanie Mara:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/_stephaniemara/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/stephaniemarafoxWebsite: https://www.stephaniemara.com/https://www.somaticeating.com/Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/stephmara/TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@stephaniemarafoxContact: [email protected] the show:Become a supporter: https://www.buzzsprout.com/809987/supportAll affiliate links: https://www.stephaniemara.com/resourcesReceive 15% off my fave protein powder with code STEPHANIEMARA at checkout here: https://www.equipfoods.com/STEPHANIEMARAUse my Amazon Affiliate link when shopping on Amazon: https://amzn.to/448IyPlSpecial thanks to Bendsound for the music in this episode. www.bensou...
