Amazing People.**Kerry Kirk Pflugh BIO: Kerry Kirk Pflugh is the Executive Director for the NewJersey School of Conservation.  She isresponsible for overseeing the operations, management and implementation of theeducational programs, services and activities at the NJSOC as set forth in themission statement, and strategic plan under the auspices of the Board ofTrustees and as directed by P.L. 2022, c. 116,which originated from Senate Bill S438. The NJSOC has beenproviding students and teachers with environmental education experiences andtraining for more than 75 years. The NJSOC is internationally recognized as aleader in providing educational programs in the four curriculum areas usingunique methods of experiential learning and learning through discovery.   Ms. Pflugh wasresponsible for spearheading the successful effort to save and reopen thehistoric environmental education field center and is now working to restore theformer CCC campus. Working with the environmental and educational community andchampions in the state legislature, Governor Phil Murphy signed legislation in2022 assigning the Friends of NJSOC legal responsibility for the management ofthe historic environmental education center.
