Congressman Maxwell Frost agreed with Mr. Chubbs, "We can't foodbank our way out of poverty." There is food available, but hunger has become a political issue. The government shutdown he explained is based on Republicans and Democrats not agreeing on healthcare rates that are about to expire through the Affordable Care Act. They have not negotiated for 40 days now (the longest shut down in history) but he does see a glimmer of hope. In the meantime, we have to support one another if we can.
