Savor Charlotte Edition Episode 6 - Andres Kaifer

The sixth segment of a six-part Savor Charlotte series presented by the Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority. Tom Haberstroh is joined by Andres Kaifer, who is the partner and executive chef of CustomShop, a Michelin-recommended restaurant in Charlotte as well as the new Charlotte wine bar called Emmy Lou’s. When word got out that Charlotte was hosting Top Chef, the first name that popped into my head was Andres. The Miami native came to the Carolinas just before COVID hit and took over a restaurant in the Elizabeth neighborhood of Charlotte and quickly made into a powerhouse by infusing his Miami and Spanish roots into the restaurant and focusing on the diner experience. It’s my favorite spot in town and Andres’ customer-first vision is the biggest reason why.
