Season 2 Episode 7 Sam: Strength through Vulnerability

from SISU Journey

In this episode of the SISU Journey Podcast, Sam Goldfinch talks about strength through vulnerability. Resilience is more profound than merely “becoming strong”. Are you an oak tree or a piece of bamboo? Stay tuned! ~ About Sam Goldfinch: Sam’s pronouns are he/him. Sam is the founder of Sober Rebellion, a small sobriety coaching business with its roots in a community of alcohol-free rebels. Sam runs coaching programs with the mission of truly setting people free from alcohol addiction and habits that no longer serve them. Sam discovered through his own experience with addiction that stopping drinking is often not enough, time alone does not heal the wound. On one occasion he made it to 19 months without any alcohol but still didn’t feel completely free. This led him back to drinking and the pain of feeling that no matter what he did, he simply could not win. This experience led him on a 4-year journey of discovery, and through blogging, traveling and a number of different healing modalities, he found himself truly free of alcohol and loving life more than he ever had as a drinker. This inspired him to want to do the same for others in their own unique way.  Sam has completed life coaching certificates with the Coaching Academy, trained under Jolene park in ‘Grey area drinking’, and is currently training to be a ‘This Naked mind’ Certified Coach. Sam’s key mission is to help people move from surviving to thriving – without willpower or feeling like they are missing out.  Sam is also the co-host of the Present and Sober Podcast. ~ Connect with Sam! Have you gotten frustrated about your list of unaccomplished dreams? Maybe it’s not you, maybe it’s how you have learned to set goals that isn’t meshing with your individual genius. Can you imagine how connecting to the identity of an athlete is way more juicy and magical than setting a process goal of going to the gym x number of times a week?  Join us for a FREE identity-based goal-setting masterclass starting August 23rd.
