Ben's mom is from Germany so he grew up visiting Europe from a young age exposing myself to new cultures and languages. Ben even spent a year living in Germany and going to a public school when he was 13 which opened his perspectives to living in another country. Ben started an online business in high school which then led to him building out his car to do a winter of van life around the USA while working on the computer. Later that year, Ben went to Costa Rica beginning these last 3 years of full-time travel around the world.Throughout these 3 years, Ben has begun traveling more and more to off-the-beaten-path destinations including those that might be considered as unsafe or have a bad portrayal in the media. What Ben's experienced is these have been some of the best and friendliest countries and his goal of his social media is to change the perceptions of travel along with showing how others can begin this journey of traveling on a budget. This takes us to today's episode where Ben dives into traveling within one of the most off-the-beaten-path destination: AFGHANISTAN!
