SEASON I -EPISODE 9: Competition Amongst Women

For this week’s conversation, Chanel Douglas of The Coco’s Jewelry Collection joined, and we had a very uplifting and informative IG Live. The plan was to go live via Instagram and Facebook, and although I didn't make it to Facebook, the conversation was greater than I could have ever imagined. Chanel and I literally met through social media and automatically connected. Chanel and close friend Amber came to Atlanta one weekend and we had the chance to brunch and talk. After that weekend, I would say we have been tight since. She checks on me; we motivate each other, and more importantly, we found a way to bring our talents together with purposes of collaborating. I wanted to show women listening or watching the live that you can be just as beautiful and just as powerful in the presence of a woman who is the exact same, there is no competition. There is no reason to compete with others, we have to compete with old versions of ourselves every day! Instead, it’s “collaboration ova competition,” every single time, no matter what.
