S2S: The Roles We Play
In this episode of Sentiments2Self, my sister and I dive into “The Roles We Play” — the unspoken labels we were given growing up and how they shaped who we became. From “the creative one” to “the smart one,” from the risk-taker to the fixer, we unpack how family roles are assigned (often without anyone ever saying them out loud) and how they follow us into adulthood. We talk about owning the good in those roles, challenging the limits they placed on us, and evolving beyond what we were told we were. Join us for a real, funny, and reflective conversation about identity, expectations, and growing into who you choose to be — not just who you were labeled as.

Let’s get into it…What does a soft hustle look like for you? Can you build your dream life without burning out to get there?” We would like for y'all to DM , vote in a poll, or send a voice note response for the next episode

Working with Women in Business
Although the motto is always we are stronger together than a part, it is a fact that it can sometimes be very difficult working with women in business. We think that we as women understand the power of actually working together, but do we always fight for the bigger picture? NO. Well, this conversation is all about the ups and downs of women who actually do decide to conduct business with women. It gets a little heated as Sam and Meme re count some of their past disagreements but overall having the ladies of Pretty Girl Productions join us for this much needed conversation was absolutely amazing! There's so much to not only learn from, but to also grow from. We wish both Shan and Keia the best of luck as it pertains to them working together and the success and growth of their business! Be sure to like, shared and subscribe if you haven't already.

What Makes a Woman Financially Stable in 2023?
Now, this was topic was MUCH NEEDED, for sure! For this conversation, we invited entrepreneur, Alexis "Lex" Johnson of Lush Tax Services to the studio, and she dropped so many gems pertaining to financial stability and freedom. What was most unique about this conversation with Lex was that it wasn't a shallow conversation about getting to the bag, but more so about maintaining and knowing how to strategically use the resources in your bag to secure financial freedom. We learned more than anything from this conversation and I truly hope you do as well. Please be sure to LIKE, SUBSCRIBE, AND SHARE THIS episode!

Who Are You?
If you missed this LIVE conversation, make sure you listen to this episode in its entirety. This was such a much needed conversation, because more often than not, women struggle with self-image or how they see and feel about themselves. The purpose of this convo was to dive deeper into this by not only sharing experiences, but by also inviting Tushundra Owens to join the conversation. Tushundra is the author of Self, a book primarily about her struggles with low self-esteem and how she overcame her insecurities. Check out this convo and be sure to pass it along to another woman that you know even if her confidence is through the roof!

2023 NEW SEASON: WHO ARE YOU & WHERE ARE YOU GOING?
The first conversation of 2023 was definitely a great way to bring the podcast into the new year! Normally, most people want to speak of goal setting and manifesting when it comes to their first conversation for the new year, but we went in a completely different direction. Winter is for resetting, resting, and building your body up for what's ahead, SPRING, when nature is truly ready to bloom and manifest. Therefore, we answered the following questions and drew in on the importance of each of those questions as you go through this year: "Who Are You? Where Are you Now? and Where do You Want to Be?" The main point of this conversation is awareness about you and your life and what you can do to constantly improve yourself. We are focused on the process this year, not so much results and outcomes. Check out the first episode and be sure to leave a comment expressing your thoughts ion this topic, like share, and subscribe!

"Pillow Talk" mini series Episode 4: Orgasms/ Breakfast N' Bed
"Pillow Talk" Episode 4 WAS NOTHING SHORT OF AMAZING! We talked orgasms and fulfillment for women and prior to this episode airing we had to balance a lot of thoughts to get a breakdown of our objectives. Thoughts such as "are women as sexual as men?", "Do women need orgasms as much as men?", "Is it a common thing for an orgasm being difficult to have?", or "Should women expect to be satisfied in the bedroom every time?". In my (Meme) early years people would warn me to keep my sexual expectations low, and I wanted to SCREAM! I knew nobody wasn't saying that to my man at the time. From then I felt that every sexual encounter we had would begin with expectation of his orgasm and end with the success of it. However, Where is that attitude about my pleasure?? Stay tuned to Episode 4 to get the full out review of my perspective, Sams, and our live audience. Every week we put our all into not only the conversation but the full Sentiments2Self experience! Be ready to speak your mind, if you want, but KNOW your homegirls are going to give you the true experience of GIRLS NIGHT OUT!

Age Ain't Nothing But A Number
Whew Chile....we really opened up a conversation with this one. We discussed the general idea of age while dating. Does age matter? Does it help to date younger or older? We addressed so many questions surrounding the topic of age and dating. Check out this episode to see what age group most women fall for on the age bracket. Be sure to comment, share, and tap into the rest of the season on your preferred podcasting platform!

OUR FIRST BLIND DATE
As we approached the end of the season, we got into action with actually dating, and kicked this episode off with our first ever blind date on the show. The growls really made it a point to find Meme a man this season, so it was only right that Meme be set up on the blind date. Sam did all the arranging and had both Meme and Trent @1skeebo (Instagram) meet at a bar for drinks and good conversation. Thank you again to Trent (@1skeebo) for joining the conversation and being open to the topic this season! Tap into this conversation now to see how these two hit it off for their first blind date experience. Be sure to share, comment, and listen to the rest of this season on your preferred podcasting platform.

The Dating Dilemma
This episode starts off quite interesting with Meme calling up her ex-boyfriend out-of-the-blue to ask questions about their relationship post break up. Although this conversation serves as the icebreaker for the night, it truly primes the conversation for both Sam and Meme to ask each other questions pertaining to boundaries that they have while dating. What's really the dilemma with dating? Several juicy questions are asked and the ladies truly give their honest opinions. Be sure to share, comments, and check out the rest of the season on your preferred podcast platform.

The Dating Game
Episode one opened this season's "Dating Game," and we literally gave the entire run down for the season. Both Sameerah and I shared what was important to us when it came to the topic of dating in general, but more importantly in the black community. We share how we are going to dive into different topics like blind dating, virtual dating, considering age while dating, and many more types of dating that we as a people aren't generally that comfortable with. Tap in and join the conversation. Please be sure to comment, share, and subscribe to our podcast on your preferred platform!

OUR FIRST VIRTUAL DATE (EP4 SEASON 7)
WOW! We really had our first virtual date on 4/8 with @kelseyalexus and @thrizz13 (both Instagram handles). The point of this virtual date was to mainly shed light on how we date in the black community. We habitually date with comfort; we don't necessarily try different forms of dating and we do believe this is why we as women sometimes end up with the same types of men. Same for men. Therefore, we created a dating experience where our two guests could get to know each other, while also shedding light on how easy and beneficial it is to try different forms of dating!

WYM? It Ain't Gone Work Out?
For episode three the girls got a little transparent as they dived deeper into the dating topic. Sam and Meme were both tasked with coming up with their top five rules when dating. Although they did bump heads quite a bit on each other's rules, both ladies genuinely shared rules that they believe could help on today's dating scene. Episode three was recorded via @sentiments2self Instagram live; therefore, please enjoy the live commentary as you tap into this conversation. Please be sure to subscribe, share, and comment on this MUCH NEEDED CONVERSATION! See you guys on IG LIVE April 1st.

This past Thursday, hair guru @daisydoesmyhair (Instagram,) joined Meme and me for what was definitely "A MUCH NEEDED CONVERSATION!" Episode 3: Confidence vs Cockiness
This episode was one for the books! We were so grateful to have Youtuber/entrepreneur, @thekaylab_ join the conversation. We opened a conversation that all came from the thought of sororities and their purpose. We really wanted Kayla to share her thoughts and opinions on what she felt it meant for a woman to be confident. We also dissected the lines that can so easily be crossed when women confuse confidence with cockiness. Overall ladies, this conversation is fundamental and every woman and friend group should open a similar conversation after listening to this one!

SEASON IV- EPISODE 10: "DO BLACK MEN VALUE BLACK WOMEN"
A very controversial topic came about this week on sentiments2self that was so important to us that we not only had to use this as our season finale episode but we also HAD to bring this one to THE SHOP! Every girl knows that you get the best talk, tea, and advice from the women that help make you beautiful at your favorite hair salon! We had three special guest join us to share their respected thoughts on how they feel about the subject. This episode was definitely A MUCH NEEDED CONVERSATION #AMNC & it got deep! We could all admit that we LOVE our black men to the core and we are proud of how far they have come since past years. We also acknowledge that in some to most cases black men and women struggle through similar if not the same pain from the past! However, black women always seem to love our black men through the good and the bad days and always through the highs and lows!~ Why don't y'all love us back? Why don't y'all publicly protect us and show the world what we mean and MATTER to you? We hit key sensitive topics such as pro-creation, protection, and as always ACCOUNTABILITY! We love and support everyone who returns that energy! hope you enjoy and see you next season !!!!!

Season IV-Episode 1: Women's Relationship with Women
WE'RE BACK! After season III ended, we took about a month to recharge and get our thoughts together about the new season! We are so excited to be back this season with a theme entitled "Sentiments in the City." With both Sameerah and I moving to Georgia in the last five years, we thought it would only be right reflect on our experiences here, by starting conversations with different women and men in the city of Atlanta. Some of these conversations will be personal and with people we know, but the goal is to get to introduce the city of Atlanta to Sentiments 2 Self! Check out the conversation and be sure to join every Friday by tapping into our live conversations via Instagram @ 8PM EST. New episode on ALL PODCASTING platforms, every Monday.

SEASON IV-Episode 4: 21 Questions
After missing a conversation last week, we decided to approach this week a bit differently by not choosing a particular topic, but instead, we decided to ask each other a series of questions related to all things women, relationships, and day-to-day life. We had a really great time discussing each question over our "Tangy Teila" signature drink, while we engaging with our live audience via Instagram. Check out the conversation and be sure to join every Friday by tapping into our live conversations via Instagram @ 8PM EST. New episode on ALL PODCASTING platforms, every Monday.

SEASON III -Episode 11: Helping or Hating
This week's conversation was much needed for friends, family, and even intimate relationships. We explored the topic of "subliminal hating," slick comments, and overall underlying shade from people that are supposedly close to you. From there, we posed the question, "Is it helpful or hating?" Sometimes people close to you say "little things" that can rub you the wrong way, but more than likely when it's addressed, it's said to be advice or help, but in all actuality it was SIMPLY HATING! Ashara , also known as @sharnecole via Instagram joined the conversation to share her perspective, which was an amazing addition to the episode, because she is a woman that knows her worth and does not settle for less. Therefore, when speaking on this topic, she was sure to keep it real and entertaining. Be sure to share this episode and let us know what you think!

SEASON III -Episode 10: Ciara's Prayer or Lori's Finesse?
What a conversation.....If you listen to our podcast then you know it gets real, but this one got really real. So real that Sameerah and I had a disagreement and a weekend long conversation post the actual conversation lol. I say that to say, sometimes you don't agree with your people, but figuring out your differences is essential to growth and understanding. However, we brought two female rap artists, T.B. Tiarra and Billie G from our home town, Mobile, AL to the conversation. Both of these ladies spoke their truth and gave very honest opinions on how they feel women should move after heart break. So, ARE YOU GETTING ON TWO KNEES WITH CIARA'S PRAYER OR MOVING THE HELL ON WITH LORI'S FINESSE? Check out this convo. Be sure to share, comment, and repost!

SEASON III- Episode 6: The Lady & the Tramp Part II
A Much Needed Conversation is committed to allowing our guests and audience the opportunity to give their complete opinions on the different topics that we do bring to each convo. We expanded the topic and talked more about telling the truth and being completely transparent about the things that you are doing!
-
24
SEASON III -Episode 5: Chasing the Bag or Clout?
This conversation was all about money and ambition. We have the utmost respect for women getting to a bag and we wanted to have a conversation where we could really talk about the difference between that and simply chasing clout or something that looks like a "bag." Not everyone is going through every phase to get to the top, so if you are, you are doing it the correct way! We will see all you at the top, but in the meantime, be sure to comment, share, and subscribe!

SEASON III -Episode 2: Sexual Confidence
This episode we managed to have a real girl talk. We finally took a dive in the deep end and talked SEX with Carla Cannon, creator of Creative Junkie. If you don't know Carla, you will after this episode. We couldn't think of a better woman to speak on sexual confidence, because Carla whole heartedly embodies confidence not only sexually, but outside room as well. She shared some of her infamous "Story Time" escapades with us and I promise you will leave this conversation motivated to do what needs to be done in the bedroom! Be sure to COMMENT, SHARE, AND SUBSCRIBE! Catch us on IG LIVE (@sentiments2self) every Friday 8 PM EST for live episode recordings!

SEASON III -Episode 1: LESBIHONEST
This conversation was all about educating ourselves more on same sex relationships, more importantly lesbian relationships. We were excited to bring one of our home town favorites, Weenie, to the conversation. As a gay woman, Weenie exudes confidence on a different level and we knew that the conversation needed someone as real and raw as her. Weenie educated us on all things lesbian and I can say that we left the conversation knowing a lot. Take the time to learn more about the people you live in this world with! Thank you Weenie and Lay!

SEASON II -Episode 8: Bloopers @ GVNGLAND
This was a true "fun girl" episode. After sitting in a hair salon the day before and hearing all the women speak on the infamous "Birkin Bag," we thought it was only right to shed a little light on this topic. We discuss fashion trends and how those trends can be detrimental to younger women, who believe that they must have certain things to be a "bad bxtch." Check out the blooper convo and let us know what you think!
-
17
SEASON II -Episode 6: The Lady vs The Tramp
This episode was all about the difference between doing hoe shxt and simply having fun. We brought our first male into season two for the infamous male perspective and that is exactly what Carlos Jones brought to the table. More than often, women find themselves being judged for having fun or honestly, just doing the same thing as men, but where do we draw the line? When does the fun turn into flat out hoe shxt? Is there a such thing as even being a hoe? Find out what Carlos' viewpoint was by checking out the conversation. Again, all of our conversations are raw and real, which is why we are enjoying bringing guest to our Instagram for LIVE recordings. Please be sure to share, comment, and subscribe.

SEASON II -Daddy Issues
This episode was recorded via Instagram live, October 2, 2020. Meme and Samaiyah discuss their personal experiences with "Daddy Issues," and offer advice and encouragement, as they navigate through a very personal conversation. This was not a bashing session, but more a growth session. Both ladies were able to reflect and show listeners how they are moving forward and taking on the issues that they possess or may have possessed with their fathers. Please be sure to share this conversation. There are so many women out there that need this conversation! Our community needs to continue speaking on this topic, because this conversation was not only needed for women, but for men, as well.

SEASON II - EPISODE 2: Respect the Hustle
This week Meme and I brought Ms. Kalibaby to the Conversation. If you don’t know Ms. Kalibaby now, you definitely will before the end of this conversation. We talk about making money during a pandemic and some of her goals when it comes to what she is currently doing. This conversation was not meant to be cute and sweet. It was held because it is time to get comfortable with daily life things that we as women experience or simply want advice on, like sex, threesomes, and just how to become more comfortable in your skin. We definitely pull back a few layers on our own experiences and things we want to try. Leave your opinions at home. It’s time you open up your mind to simply respecting the hustle of every woman, whether you agree with it or not. Such a fun conversation that it's good to have every now and then with the girls!

SEASON II - EPISODE 1: Assumptions of an Independent Woman
Before you assume, ASK! Far too often do we assume certain things about the next woman, versus simply getting to know that woman or asking. Therefore, Meme and I brought Alize Ringold to the conversation to discuss assumptions she has dealt with and how she has navigated through those situations, while creating multiple streams of income. Not only is Alize a recent graduate of Tuskegee University, but she has also managed to start and operate a women’s clothing boutique coined Meilleur Ami, with her best friend. However, it doesn’t stop here...join the conversation now to gain insight on how this independent woman is creating different streams of incoming and helping other women along the way, while also remaining positive and motivated in a world full of opinions and assumptions!
